Abstract: The Madagascan endemic genus Anoano Cachan, 1952 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera:
Pentatomidae: Pentatominae: Triplatygini) is redescribed. Based on the study of
primary types, one valid species and one junior synonym are recognized: Anoano
pronotalis Cachan, 1952 = A. milloti Schouteden, 1954, syn. nov. A lectotype of
A. pronotalis is designated. The male and female genitalia of A. pronotalis are
described for the first time.
