Abstract: Type specimens of ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) deposited in natural history
museum collections in the Czech Republic are catalogued. Altogether, we list
types of 19 extant taxa housed in the Department of Entomology, National
Museum, Prague; the Department of Entomology, Moravian Museum, Brno; the
Department of Natural History, Museum of the Highlands, Jihlava; and the
Department of Natural History, Silesian Museum, Opava.
